Not entirely sure what you're looking for? Here are some designs that have been done in the past to give you an idea of what's possible.
Here you can see light-toned natural stone being set off by a dark red brick accent around the window. This helps the window to stand out nicely.
Similar effect in this picture, but in reverse. A brown-toned brick being set off by light coloured dressed stone. You may also notice the French corners on this house.
Brick and stone working together again in this example, but with a much less formal look. These are large, split-faced field stones accenting an entryway
On this chimney, we've used a red brick accent on natural ledge rock, laid in a rubble pattern. There are several soldier course bands, as well as a herringbone pattern inset in the center. Over all, a striking effect.
Many people like to make their home unique with accent work in the front gables. This dresses up an otherwise plain section of brickwork. Here you can see a compass-style accent with herringbone pattern inside, along with a soldier course above the garage door, and setting off the number stone.
The owners of this home have chosen yellow brick for the french corners at the front of the house. This gives the house a distinctive look, setting it apart from the rest of the neighbourhood. You can also have french corners done with the same colour brick, or a slightly darker or lighter tone, for a more subtle look.
Here, the brick used in other parts of the house is used to accent a window set in stone. This ties the stone section of the house in very nicely with the brick sections.
Another unique idea for gable accents. You can let the outside of your home reflect your interests and personality, just as the inside decor will. Feel free to discuss different options with us as you plan your new home.
